I am a journalist, documentary film producer, visual storyteller and a founding member of AJ+, Al Jazeera’s digital news channel.
I report, write, film, edit and produce videos from pitch to publication.
As a Senior Producer at AJ+, I gained years of experience managing teams and producing both long and short-form stories, all in a wide variety of formats, often pioneering creative storytelling techniques.
I have an MA in cultural and political anthropology, I speak five languages and have worked throughout the world, including a year in post-earthquake Haiti (2010-2011) investigating aid gone wrong. I was AJ+’s lead producer covering the 2015 refugee crisis in Europe and the Balkans.
My beats include human rights, climate change, indigenous issues, displacement, reproductive justice, art, culture and, like everyone else recently, COVID-19.
My work has appeared in AJ+, The Guardian, Al Jazeera English, The Nation Magazine, New York Times, among others. I’ve also worked for Frontline PBS, Reuters TV, BBC and Rolling Stone.
